This is the best hair oil to avoid knotted hair. It makes the hair feel nice and shiny. It's good for highlights - gives the hair a healthy soft feel. We mainly bought it for my daughter's hair when she was 7, - she id now 13. She loves it and there has been no issue her brushing her hair since we started this.
